April 29th, 2012
So this past week and weekend flew by. This weekend was spent swimming, running errands, and doing chores. Evelyn was very flexible, she enjoyed waving to all the people as we shopped. It's so hard to believe that next weekend she is going to be 1! I have nothing really ready for the party, which is not for a few more weeks. My girl is growing so fast!

It is hard being back at work and not being able to play with Evelyn all day long. However being a teacher I am done working full time in June. I will probably be working part time this summer as well as going on day trips to kid friendly places and attending st least two weddings, one my brothers. We are very busy here and I can't believe how fast the days fly by. Evelyn will be 1 on May 5th! My husband and I are throwing her a big party a few weekends after her actual birthday. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone. Here is Miss Evelyn, the cutest baby ever in my eyes!

Good morning from Colorado! We arrived safely last night, though our flight took longer then usual due to severe weather in the middle of the country. Evelyn handled flying like a champ, never even fussed on the plane. Her schedule was very fixed up but overall she was a very good girl. I am looking forward to showing her the sights of Colorado. Have a lovely day.

Evelyn, my mom, and I fly out tomorrow. I am both excited and nervous. My brother and his fiancée can not wait to see Evelyn again. The weather looks nice for the week as well, I am sure we will get out and see the sights. Today Evelyn decided to help me with my packing. And by help I mean climb into the suitcase and pull out all the clothes. It was pretty funny. Well I hope your weekend goes well!

So Evelyn, myself, and my mother are flying out to Colorado to visit my brother and attend his fiancée's shower. To be honest I am nervous about the trip. It will be Evelyn's first time on an airplane. I started setting clothes aside for the trip and have a list of essentials to bring for the baby. Evelyn has had a wonderful week and I am excited to take her out. Hopefully all will go well. In other news, Evelyn's new favorite activity is taking out all her books and "reading" them out loud. It is so cute. Have a nice night.

I hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend. Evelyn enjoyed herself and looked lovely in her Easter dress. She got some new toys, a bib, and a book from the Easter bunny. Evelyn did alright at church, she was getting fussy towards the end. Later we went to brunch with my in-laws. Evelyn got to try scrambled eggs, bits of a plain pancake, and small pieces of ham. She gobbled them all down. This week we are preparing for our trip out west on Sat and doing some final planning for Evelyn's first birthday party in May. Hope you have a nice week.

The nice thing about working in a school system is that I get the holidays and school vacations off. Which means spending more time with my lovely daughter. So far today Evelyn and I have eaten breakfast, gotten dressed, and have been playing hard. We even practiced her new trick, getting off the couch all by herself. Evee flips over on to her stomach and slides slowly down to the floor. Hope everyone has a nice day!

I would like to take a moment to pause in my usual routine of talking about Evelyn. I work as a special educator. It is a hard profession but I love it. Today is World Autism Awareness Day and April is Autism Awareness Month. Recently there was a report that now 1 in 88 children are diagnosed with autism or on the spectrum. I am not asking for anything but if anyone is reading this, I just wanted to share this info. I work with this children every day and it is a rewarding job.
Okay now for a cute picture of Evelyn for your patience.
