I have no words to express the sadness I am feeling. My heart, love, and prayers go out to the victims and their families of the horrific shooting in Conn. This senseless act of violence took the lives of many children. I can not even imagine the pain and grief the families are experiencing. I am going to hug and kiss sweet Evelyn extra hard tonight.

November 25th, 2012

Happy Thanksgiving! We had a wonderful holiday. We went over to the in-laws for Thanksgiving and Evelyn was the life of the party. Yesterday we had our annual Friendsgiving. Evelyn had a blast playing with the other little ones. She enjoyed going outside, rearranging the toy chairs, and chasing the older kids. Also we got pictures done for our Christmas cards. Next weekend we are going to see Santa. I cannot believe Christmas is almost here! Hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday season!

November 11th, 2012

Evelyn is now 18 months old and a bright, happy girl. She loves being outside, playing with her toys, reading, and cuddling. Her vocabulary is growing as well, we practice our alphabet and numbers every day. Evee is becoming more social as well. She loves story time at the library and when we see our friend's children. We do allow 20 minutes of Curious George before bedtime. Evelyn enjoys watching the little monkey while snuggling with Mommy or Daddy.

October 29th, 2012

I apologize that I have not written in a month. Work has been crazy busy and Evelyn is very active as well. It's hard to believe she is almost 18 months old. We are staying in today, waiting for Hurricane Sandy to blow away. So far in her short life Evee has experienced two earthquakes, a tornado, and now 2 hurricanes. We have been very busy during the weekends. Last weekend we went to King Richard's Faire with a bunch of friends. Evelyn was a blue fairy, thanks to a special friend for making her dress. Evee loves life and is always very busy. We are preparing for the holiday season and an exciting Christmas. Hope you have a nice day.

Sept. 15th, 2012

First full of week work went well. The kids are tough but coming home to Evelyn makes it worth every moment. She is a sweetheart and a hurricane. Evelyn loves the warm fall weather we are having as well. She enjoys going on walks, playing with bubbles, and running around outside. Tomorrow we are going to visit a friend who has a new baby. We will see how Evelyn likes being around a real baby. Have a nice day.

Sept. 4th, 2012

I can not believe summer is over. In two days, I am going to start a new job. I will miss spending my days playing with Evelyn. She is such a lovely girl, full of life. She loves reading, playing, exploring, and talking with us. We are going to start swimming lessons up again next week and I am looking into daycare for the winter. This means Evelyn will met some more little ones as playmates. I will miss my free time with Evee but this job is a good step in my future career path. Hopefully all will go well.

August 25th, 2012

Today we went to the Roger Williams Zoo as a family. We had a blast and Evelyn enjoyed seeing all the animals. She has been a busy girl. Running around the house and outside are her favorite things. Evee also enjoys taking out all the potholders and towels. She runs around with the towel on her back like a cape. It's adorable! Tomorrow we are going swimming. Have a nice night!

Last weekend Evelyn and I went up to Maine. We stayed up until Tuesday then we came home. Yesterday and today we ran some errands, played outside, and just hung out. It was been a lovely summer, getting to watch Evelyn grow, play, and laugh. She is such a joy!

Evelyn went to the doctor's today. She is growing normally and the doctor was impressed by her vocab. She had to get two shots and I decided to get her flu shot now. Evee was very brave, she hardly cried when they gave her the shots. I hate having to do that to her. Then we went to see a friend about making costumes for me and her for King Richard's Faire in Sept. My hubby has one from ages ago. Tonight we are chilling at home and I got a cute picture of Evelyn pouting because I took the remote away. She is such a little devil sometimes but I love her.

Sorry for the delay, been busy catching up on housework and laundry. It is nice to be home. We had a wonderful trip and Evelyn was a fantastic traveler. She is such a joy. It's been muggy and rainy here such we have not been getting out much. Evee loves to cruise in her push car, climb on top of our coffee table, snuggle with Momma, and play the day away. She is such a sweet girl!

July 26th, 2012

This is our last day of vacation. Boo! We have a full two weeks of fun including my brother's wedding, a horseback ride (Evelyn rode on the wagon with my Mom and Dad), tubing down the Yampa river, a trip to the Hot Springs, a rodeo, bear sightings, Rocky Mountain National Park, and much more. Evelyn had a whole slew of people cooing over her and she loved very moment, even when Mommy and Daddy were out having fun. Here are a lot of pictures from our trip. Will post more later.

Sorry for the delay. We had a friend's wedding on Sat and then my mom and cousin came over yesterday for dinner. Hubby took my cousin to see a movie and Mom helped me weed when Evelyn was asleep. Today we went to the aquarium. Evelyn liked the penguins, seals, and jellyfish. She was afraid of the fish in the tanks though, it was so cute. We got home late and I got all her clothes ready for our big trip. We fly out early Thursday for my brother's wedding and I can't wait. Have a nice night all!

The past couple of days have been very hot, leading to a cranky household where even the AC doesn't help. Yesterday I took Evelyn to the pool at the Y and she loved it. She "talked" to another little one and splashed around. But she didn't take her nap, so she was a crank when we got home. Today we visited with a co-worker of mine and then Evee hung out in her diaper, helping me fold laundry. We are busy getting the house ready and packing for our two week visit to Colorado! Happy 4th of July all! My hubby and I went away last weekend and had a lovely time eating, shopping, and just relaxing. I missed Evelyn but it was nice to get away. This Sat we have a wedding and then next Thursday morning we leave for Colorado. I am looking forward to our trip. Evee is growing and learning more and more every day. She is quiet talkative and knows several words including No (sigh). Evelyn is walking and running like a manic. She loves to explore, go to the local kid's playground, and swim. My days at home are spent chasing Evelyn though the house, reading books with her, taking walks, and going to the local playground. Evee loves to swing, explore, and chase the other little ones around. She smiles and says Hi to everyone we met. Often afternoons are spent inside playing peek a boo or sometimes a second nap. This weekend my hubby and I go going away for my birthday, so I wish you all a happy Thursday and have a great weekend.

Today is my 30th birthday. I am very happy, it was a day spent relaxing inside during a cooling thunderstorm, playing with Evee after her nap, shopping for our weekend getaway, and now a movie with my husband. Hope you all had a wonderful day!

Evelyn and I are enjoying Maine with my parents and I don't want to leave. Evee and I went swimming today and she was laughing and splashing the whole time. My mom got us this float where she sits at one end and I hang off the other to paddle around. The water was cold but refreshing and Evelyn did not want to get out. Now I'm sitting with her on the porch, watching the sun set. I love it here!
